I'm really excited about EPIC's new direction in getting the word aobut about the organization and electronic publishing in general. EPIC participated in Book Expo America in Chicago. Karen Woods, Janice Strand, and Laura Adlam manned the booth and reported great response from the other attendees. Great contacts were also made which will lead to cooperative ventures in the future.

Building on this success, EPIC has started a program to support members who are willing to man an information table at conferences across the country. We'll pay table rent and provide brochures and booksmarks to be handed out. Some of the outstanding events coming up include Words on the Street in Toronto, Canada in September and a conference of educators in Utah. Members who want to jump on this bandwagon, contact the Board. We feel very strongly that this will be one of the best ways to increase interest in ebooks—and EPIC!
