Very recently, EPIC passed a milestone. We now have over 500 members around the world. These members stay in touch on our email lists and share lots of information about the ins and outs of the writing craft, as well as factual bits that aren't readily available other places.
I have never seen so much excitement about the EPPIE Awards as I have this year. Queries about the contest came early, and over 500 entries were submitted. Every category had enough entries to pay for itself, too, which is very encouraging as a gauge of the variety of ebooks on the market.
Now is the time to look forward to the EPICon in San Antonio in March. You'll find details elsewhere on our EPIC website. The committee has been working hard to make this a Texas-sized event, full of fun, information and unforgettable experiences. I can't wait to see all my EPIC friends again and meet new people!
For everyone who has been going through difficult times with hurricanes, heavy rains and other calamities, know that our thoughts have been with you. Remember my motto: Anything that causes me this much pain must have a book in it somewhere.
