 The President's Report . . .

I am so proud of the progress EPIC has made in the last few weeks. We have been increasing our membership by a few every week, perhaps as many as nine or ten. This is very encouraging. Whether these new members have heard of us through the informational displays at conferences and conventions, member publishers who feel EPIC is important to writers' careers, or our friendly and outgoing writing members, we welcome them all.
We are working hard to make EPIC a more enjoyable place to get information, form friendships and expand horizons. Nettiquette will be posted to the lists in a three-month rotation. Because we want every member to be comfortable posting questions and triumphs, we will not abide abuse of our lists by anyone spreading blatant unpleasantness. Henceforth these problems will the addressed firmly and promptly.
The PR committee compiled a brochure which is posted elsewhere on the site, ready to be printed out for our members use. But we are also preparing a brochure for writers not yet under contract for their guidance in preparing their submissions and choosing prospective publishers. This will be a great companion for our "Model Contract" and "Red and Yellow Flags" columns, also here on our website.
Wonderful things are in the works!
